Our little Utopia on the deck is still providing lots of entertainment, and it's much easier to enjoy not that it's not so friggin HOT!
Dad captured this beautiful visitor on the butterfly bush this past Sunday.
Here's my Monday harvest after the morning rain. We had tomatoes in the veggie saute for dinner yesterday, and I had cucumber and tomatoes in my salad tonight. YUM!
And speaking of YUM, Monday afternoon = one batch of zucchini batter and, VOILA! One loaf and a dozen muffins.
YES! They are indeed mouth watering delicious! It was the first time I tried this recipe so I wanted to know how moist they were before adding anything like raisins or nuts. I think they turned out great. Sorry, Nick. I sent some in via Dad this morning, but I think they will be history by the time you get back home!
So tonight, as I gaze at this incredibly beautiful sunset, I think of my two sons scattered across the USA and wonder what kind of beautiful skies they're viewing, and I'm hoping Nick & Jimmy have arrived safely in Ill -i- Noise.
I'm thinking of my Madison Dawter and wondering if she pulled out the thermal jammies so she won't get cold....
And I'm thinking that I hope the weather is this nice when I get to meet my California Dawter in just a few weeks! Until next time, sleep tight my dear ones. Love, Mom
How dare you attempt to out-bake my zucchini bread!! LOL, man does that look good! I bet those cherry tomatoes have a flavor unparalleled to the store. Did you notice you night time shots have stars in them? Pretty cool considering it looks like you used the flash. I cannot wait to come to Ohio, and you guys can finally meet Nadia :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you noticed the stars - I intentionally tried to get some in the pics :o) There's no competition on the zucchini bread - your's will always be better to me because I don't have to make it! I don't think the lettuce will survive, but there should be cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers ready when you and Nadia get here.
